Saeed Jaffrey’s Demise Leaves an Irreparable Void in Film Industry

syedNew Delhi, Tuesday, November 17 – Saeed Jaffrey’s demise a couple of days ago took his fans by surprise. The veteran actor stood out amid others with the kind of characters he played on silver screen whether role was long or short.

The 86-year-old actor left in impression in the minds of cine buffs with ‘Shatranj Ke Khiladi’, ‘The Razor’s Edge’, ‘The Man Who Would Be King’, ‘Gandhi’, ‘My Beautiful Laundrette’ ‘A Passage to India’ and The Far Pavilions.

Jaffrey won Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for his role in ‘Shatranj Ke Khiladi’. His appearance in ‘Dil’, ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’, ‘Chasme Buddoor’, Masoom, Heena, Ajooba, Saagar, Aaina , Hero Hiralal, Judaai, Jalwa, Eeshwar, Bhavna, Mashaal and so on grabbed eyeballs as well. He suffered a brain haemorrhage in London, making him to breathe his last.

People from B-town were saddened by the news about Jaffrey’s death. Fans took to social networking sites to pay their tributes to Saeed Jaffrey whose contribution as an actor in cinema will be remembered for generations to come.
